Your Best Smile Has
No Age Limit
Orthodontic care isn’t just for teenagers. In fact, adults now make up a significant percentage of orthodontic patients nationwide. Whether you’re looking to correct a long-standing issue, address teeth that have shifted over time, or simply want to feel more confident when you smile, Dr. Arjun Patel and the team at Quest Orthodontics are here to help.
Why Adults Choose Orthodontic Treatment
Dr. Patel’s credentials reflect a lifelong commitment to mastering his craft — for the benefit of every patient who sits in his chair.
Boost Confidence
Achieve a straighter, more appealing smile that enhances your self-esteem in social and professional settings. A confident smile can change the way you interact with the world, leaving a lasting positive impression.
Better Oral Health
Straight teeth are easier to clean, significantly reducing the risk of cavities, gum disease, and other dental issues. When teeth are properly aligned, brushing and flossing become more effective, protecting your long-term dental health.
Correct Bite Issues
Address functional problems like overbites, underbites, and crossbites that can cause jaw pain, chronic headaches, and uneven tooth wear. Correcting your bite can alleviate tension in the jaw and prevent premature deterioration of your enamel.
Long-Term Investment
Orthodontic treatment is an investment in your overall health and well-being, providing lasting benefits for years to come. A healthy, properly aligned smile is a foundation for lifelong oral wellness.
Adult Treatment Options
We understand that adults have different needs and preferences when it comes to orthodontic treatment. That’s why we offer a range of advanced, aesthetically pleasing options designed to deliver exceptional results without disrupting your daily life.
Invisalign Clear Aligners
As a Top 1% Blue Diamond Provider, Dr. Patel offers unparalleled expertise in clear aligner therapy. Invisalign uses a series of custom-made, virtually invisible plastic aligners to gently shift your teeth into place. They are completely removable, allowing you to eat your favorite foods and maintain your normal brushing and flossing routine without the hassle of brackets and wires.
LightForce 3D-Printed Braces
Quest Orthodontics is proud to be one of the first practices in Georgia to offer LightForce 3D-printed braces. These custom-made, tooth-colored brackets are digitally designed to fit the unique anatomy of each individual tooth. This advanced technology allows for unparalleled precision, often resulting in faster treatment times and fewer office visits compared to traditional braces.
Traditional Metal Braces
A reliable and highly effective option, modern metal braces are smaller, sleeker, and more comfortable than ever before. They remain an excellent choice for correcting complex orthodontic issues and provide predictable, high-quality results.
Qlear Smile Aligners
Designed for mild to moderate cases, this limited approach focuses on cosmetic enhancements like small gaps or slight crowding, often with shorter treatment times and fewer office visits. It’s an ideal solution for adults who want a more confident smile without the time and investment of full-scale orthodontics.
MARPE for Adults
Who is a Good Candidate for MARPE?
- Adults with a narrow upper jaw or posterior crossbite.
- Individuals experiencing severe dental crowding due to insufficient space in the arch.
- Patients with airway or breathing issues (such as snoring or mild sleep apnea) that may benefit from palatal expansion.
- Those who have been told they may need jaw surgery to correct their bite or skeletal structure.
- Anyone looking for a non-surgical alternative to achieve meaningful jaw expansion.

Frequently Asked Questions
Am I too old for orthodontic treatment?
Absolutely not! There is no age limit for orthodontic treatment. As long as your teeth, gums, and supporting bone structure are healthy, you can achieve a beautiful, straight smile. In fact, a large portion of our patients are adults, and we offer a variety of discreet options perfectly suited for adult lifestyles.
How long does adult treatment take?
Treatment duration varies depending on the complexity of your specific case and the chosen treatment method. On average, adult orthodontic treatment can range from 12 to 24 months, though some minor corrections may take less time. Dr. Patel will provide a personalized, accurate timeline during your initial complimentary consultation.
Is Invisalign better than braces for adults?
Neither option is inherently "better" – it entirely depends on your specific clinical needs, lifestyle, and personal preferences. Invisalign offers unmatched discretion and the convenience of being removable. LightForce 3D-printed braces provide unparalleled precision and efficiency for complex tooth movements. Traditional braces remain a reliable and cost-effective option. Dr. Patel will carefully evaluate your smile and discuss which option is best suited to achieve your unique goals.
What is MARPE?
MARPE (Miniscrew-Assisted Rapid Palatal Expansion) is an advanced, non-surgical technique for expanding the upper jaw in adults. It uses small, temporary miniscrews to anchor a palatal expander directly to the bone, allowing for effective widening of a narrow palate even after the bones have fused. It is often an excellent, less invasive alternative to jaw surgery for correcting crossbites, severe crowding, and improving nasal breathing.
Does orthodontic treatment hurt?
Modern orthodontic treatment is far more comfortable than it was in the past. You may experience some mild discomfort, pressure, or soreness for a few days after adjustments or when switching to a new set of aligners. This is completely normal and indicates that your teeth are moving. This minor discomfort is usually easily manageable with over-the-counter pain relievers and subsides quickly. Our team is dedicated to ensuring your treatment experience is as comfortable as possible.
